My collection of prose pieces. I immerse myself in a fictional world, whether I am reading or writing, and these stories are a manifestation of the tales in my head.

Where lyricism and stories combine. These poems are more often than not based on my life, more a fictionalised world. Poetry is more than stylistic expression; it is a justification for your own history.

About me

I'm Freya and currently an undergraduate student at Warwick University studying English Literature with Hispanic Studies.

For as long as I can remember, my main passion has been creative writing. I grew up writing short stories (often inspired my own experiences of friendship breakups, how riveting!) and I am continuing to expand my craft today.

I aim for this space to be somewhere where I can display my creative endeavours and take my writing from a hobby to a career.

This is a short narrative poem based on the Met Gala. It is also my attempt at being comedic, in comparison to a lot of my work that is simply sad. I dedicate this poem to all the philanthropic celebrities who have attended the Met Gala.

I wrote this piece for my university magazine (which I am now Secretary of!) in response to my fears about death. Candidly, I struggle with anxiety and I feel this piece really encapsulates the doom anxiety induces. Enjoy, or cry, or simply mull over it, I'm not sure.
